Serious Experience, with a Down-to-Earth Touch

With close to 70 years of combined green industry know-how, our leadership team doesn’t just talk the talk—we’ve walked the walk (often in muddy boots).

Co-owners Cate Feck and Jaime Deehan are NOFA Organic Land Care Accredited Professionals (AOLCP). They are the first NOFA Accredited Professionals in Virginia.

NOFA Accredited Professionals are committed to following the NOFA Standards which outline the fundamental land care principles and define preferred, allowed, and prohibited practices. The Standards are a jumping-off point for a robust organic land care practice and a point of common reference among professionals and homeowners and land managers.

Jaime Deehan, Founder and President, is a VA Certified Pesticide Applicator, a NALP Landscape Industry Certified Manager, a NALP Landscape Industry Certified Technician. In short: he knows his stuff.

Cate Feck brings both brains and boots-on-the-ground expertise, with a B.S. in Horticulture from Virginia Tech, ISA Certified Arborist credentials, and the same elite NALP Landscape Industry Certified Technician.

Oh—and Jaime and Cate aren’t just business partners. They’re married, and together they’ve built Deehan Landscaping as a family-owned company rooted in hard work, shared values, and a love for the outdoors.

At Deehan, we’re proud of our credentials—but even prouder of how we use them to make your landscape shine.

Training

Continuing education plays an important role to provide our clients with excellent results. To keep current with the most up-to-date horticultural approaches and practices, we are active members of our industry’s leading organizations.

Our team leaders attend yearly seminars taught by professionals in our industry. Weekly training meetings are conducted to review client comments and questions, and seasonal topics. Included with this is informal training on plant and disease identification, proper pruning and planting techniques, equipment use, and maintenance and safety.

Unique for Deehand Landscaping is the spring Landscapers Challenge. Our team members compete amongst themselves by demonstrating their skills in areas of equipment operation and planting techniques.
